on wednesdays I promise to go
where the internet cannot reach me
where the water keeps me
moving, wavering below my brain
rocking my core 'til it's reclaimed as center
…
where the drowning honeybee
can meet me
dry its wings on my warm skin
then fill me with the vibrations of its ascent
the life I only know when I wade where the wifi can't.
…
I don't believe in the punishment/reward system
but I do believe in the affirmative integration
of the spider walking on water
straight towards me like I symbolize shelter
a vessel or bridge
to the shoreline
where the dandelions I need to draw
persist.
…
I tried to draw you from a photo on my phone
to avoid the discomfort of biting flies
yet also all the tiny miracles waiting to be seen
beyond the suction of the screen
that electromagnetic field we don't realize we feel
yet never as deeply, permanantely
as the ant crawling over me
claiming crossroads
awakening the nervous systems
that reminds me I am aligned,
aware & alive
offline.
