the seed our sorrows watered is sprouting:
despite it all, we grow...
For myself and many others, last week held lots of fear, confusion rage, grief, and uncertainty. These feelings likely aren’t gone, and that’s more than okay.
Yet I fully feel and believe within it all that this is just a facet of the whole truth, the bigger picture.
And I am doing my best everyday to remember the ever-presence of hope, community, spirit support, Earth & the elements, flora & fauna, space & time on our side.
This is what last week looked / felt like to me, Tuesday to Wednesday being the u.s. election & results:
There is always so much more than we can see. This is not bypassing the horrors and injustices that persist, just a reality that I hope can give us resilience.
Despite it all, for myself, the hope, community, and spirit support grew even louder as the week went on and continues - even stronger than when it began.
Because of the people showing up, because of the gatherings online and in person, because of our continuation.
I am holding that both the harm the elected felon can/is do/ing is real, and that he and all the other power-over-people-mind are not the majority or the origin. They may have many, money, privilege and/or levels of power… but we have access and connection to something much more deep and ancient, that they are not currently attuned to.
We have the strength of the cycles, the currents of change, the restless resilience that begets creativity…
So even as it feels unbalanced right now, and the reality of control and deceit and harm shrouds the foundational reality of interconnectedness, chance and choice… I know hope is sewn into my existence. Belonging can never be truly taken.
I feel waves of it all. But this Sunday I felt a heavy sort of hope - like gravity weighting me down through grounded guidance to slow, restore and continue…
That was the day my seed project, my visceral & visual invocation for a more well, whole world got funded - confirming I will be able to afford to birth it into the physical!
ie; my Embodied Ecosystems Tarot deck, which is really a somatic tool & guide for reconnecting, remembering & resourcing, reached its minimum funding goal on Kickstarter!!
To me, this is only the tip of the iceburg, only a glimmer of the whole methodology & embodied mindset & way of being that gives me hope for the world we are reshaping & preserving.
This, Embodied Ecosystems, is my humble offering to our Earthly collective, amongst all others doing this work of reclaiming & restoring Earth-first & interdependent ways of being and belonging.
This is my humble hand-drawn hope I offer to us all.
& the campaign is still on til Friday to reach some of our upgrade goals - and offering you the current price for just a few days longer.
