No matter what happens within our government No matter the figurehead’s rhetoric or initiatives funded, I can find solace, knowing that The red squirrel will never stop protecting the pines The raccoons will never pay for access to food The birds will never stop building their nestled homes The trees will never stop rooting down and growing up The mycelium will never stop spreading and supporting The moss will never stop protecting and softening The sun will never stop shining even behind the clouds The Earth will never stop giving, continuing The moon will never stop cycling, reflecting The universe will never stop holding, bestowing Our spirits will never stop connecting, uplifting These hands will never stop creating, caressing These eyes will never stop envisioning, witnessing This tongue will never stop spell-weaving, truth-telling This heart will never stop flowing, expanding

Praying for the collective, today and always,

Thank you for this. I've been sharing it with almost everyone I checked in with today after I found myself repeating the first line of the second stanza in my head. So many have said that it gave them something to hold on to. A friend posted it to their UU church google group even.
