I want to avoid drawing water.
I want to resist it and find a way to make it look right.
I want it to be simple and shapeable.
I want the water to show me it's form so I don't have to.
But every time I draw water
I'm brought to surrender.
How can I draw fluids if I am not in flow?
How can I find its form if I do not let it shape me first?
When i loosen my grip
when i use a broader brush stroke
when i let form follow flow
i can let the expectations go.
when i draw water i let the water draw me.
Drawing water pulls me under
Asks me to surrender myself to the sea
to become the river that finds release beyond resistance
And the rain that brings my mind back down to these bodies again.
I can hardly handle how excited I am about the Embodied Ecosystems Tar-Oracle - launching in Kickstarter one week from today!!!
